In my town Santa Ana Magdalena, every January 6 they perform the cumbia, a traditional and typical dance of our region, which consists of dancing around a tree, to the sound of a musical band, We can say that it has been decades

The carnival

The traditional Colombian carnival festival full of magic, music, color and a lot of joy

Those in charge plan the festivities throughout the year, and then enjoy them with locals and visitors during the four days between dances, cumbias, joints, fandangos and costumes

Major week

The origin of this tradition is found in the fasting that was practiced during Lent, Hence it is a tradition that is carried out during Holy Week, from which today a great gastronomic variety is enjoyed

Festivities

In most towns the month of their patron saint is celebrated, in which religious events, bullfights and concerts are held in honor of their patron saint

In my town they celebrate the Virgin Saint Anne, in the month of July in the last week
